At Lapfojos Foundation, we believe that every woman deserves the opportunity to work without pain, every child deserves a safe place to grow, and every girl deserves a future filled with possibilities.
Founded by Mrs. Faith Raywood, Lapfojos Foundation is a non-profit organization dedicated to supporting women who are farmers, providing healthcare access, and empowering young girls through sports in Yala Community, Cross River State, Nigeria.
With a heart deeply rooted in her homeland, Mrs. Raywood saw the struggles of the people firsthand—mothers forced to carry their children to the farm, communities lacking basic healthcare, and young girls with no hope beyond early marriage and pregnancies. These challenges inspired her to take action.
Our Story.
A Vision Born from Experience.
“I come from a village where sudden deaths are blamed on witchcraft. But I realized that many of these deaths are preventable—with access to healthcare, awareness, and screenings. I also saw women struggling daily, carrying heavy loads while caring for their children, leading to severe back pain and exhaustion. And I saw young girls, full of potential, but with no opportunities beyond marriage at an early age. I knew something had to change.”

Lapfojos Foundation was created to solve these problems with sustainable, community-driven solutions.
We want to provide daycare hubs so mothers can farm without worrying about their children’s safety.
We want to run health screening programs to detect conditions like high blood pressure and diabetes early, preventing unnecessary deaths.
We want to develop female football talent, giving young girls the chance to become professional athletes and break the cycle of poverty.
Our Vision for the Future
Lapfojos Foundation envisions a Yala where:
No woman suffers from chronic back pain because of daily farm labor.
Children grow up in safe, nurturing environments instead of harsh farm conditions.
Basic healthcare is available to prevent unnecessary deaths.
Young girls dream beyond early marriage and have real opportunities to succeed.
